I recently went to the store and picked up a few beauty items that I wanted to share with you. A couple of the products I want to come back and due a full review and better swatches but for now I’ll just share. So if you want to see what I picked up then just keep on reading!
So as you can see I picked up 2 Face mask, 4 balm stains, 4 blushes and a lipstick. Just so you know in advance I do not have swatches of the blushes because my camera kept washing out the color. Actually, I do have pictures but they weren’t good enough for me to post.
So I’ll start with my holy grail face mask by Queen Helene. It’s the Mint Julep Masque and I LOVE IT. Like, I always try to keep a bottle of this mask because nothing cleanse out my skin like this mask.
Queen Helene|Mint Julep Face Masque
What it’s supposed to do:
“Mint Julep Masque is the original natural home treatment developed by a dermatologist that helps dry up acne pimples, rinse away blackheads and shrink enlarged pores. Even for individuals who are fortunately free of skin problems, Mint Julep Masque is a refreshing facial treatment that helps relaxed tired muscles and ease tension lines on the face and neck.”
What it actually does:
Exactly what it say’s it does. It pulls all the impurities out of my skin and it does an amazing job with drying out any pimples I have and lawd knows my acne battle is real! I fully recommend this mask to everyone. I should warn you though. It dries and can be a little difficult to remove so I recommend using it prior to getting in the shower. It is also mint flavored so it tingles upon application but the feeling does fade. I promise I won’t go into this much detail on all the products. Retails for $4.99
***New MASK Alert***
The Body Shop| Tea Tree Face Mask
This is the infamous Tea Tree Face Mask from The Body Shop. This mask is BOMB! It doesn’t dry to that hard texture but it does dry. It leaves the skin soft and it pulls out the impurities. It has a clay like texture when applying it. I will be doing a full review at the end of the month. It’s this months “Product of the Month”. Unfortunately, It’s sold out on the Body Shop website but you can be emailed when it is back in stock.
Wet N Wild|Lip Balm StainsI picked this product up in 4 colors.Lady and the Vamp|Berry Plum Color
Red-dy or Not| Reddish color
Rico Mauve| Pinky Mauve Color
Nudest Colony| Beigy nude (I can’t pull this color off)
I just really paid attention the the product names and HAHAHAHA! They did a good job with these names. They are super cute. See the swatches below. I think these retail for $1.99.
Red-dy or not and Lady and the Vamp look very similar swatched. Nudest Colony looks damn near white which is why I can’t do this shade. Maybe with a liner. It took a full day, scrubbing, and a shower to completely get the swatch stains off my hand. The colors left a reddish pink line on my hand. That being said I’m sure these stains have lasting power. These can be purchased at your local Walmart, CVS, or Walgreens
Milani Lipstick|Naturally Chic
This is a BEAUTIFUL pinky nude. It had me at first swatch. I know it seems like I buy the same colors and well I do but that’s fine #dontjudgeme. I can already foresee this being in my monthly favorites next month. This is the perfect everyday shade that any person can work with. I forgot to swatch this. I don’t know what I was thinking! I will update and swatch this later.
Blush|Jordana Powder Blush
Again I didn’t do hand swatches because the colors were being washed out. My favorite and more then likely the only one I won’t gift to someone else is Redwood. I love the reddish pink tones in this blush. These are actually not the colors I wanted but the only ones Kmart had in stock and I wanted to test them out. You can find these at Walgreens, Kmart or Jordana’s site. The pigmentation is pretty good and they have a large assortment of colors and they are only $2.49. You can’t beat that!
OMG that was long lol. I hope you all are still with me and you enjoyed this post.
Do you have any of these products? Do you plan to buy any of them? If you have them what are your thoughts?
Until next time fabbies,
