You asked for it so you got it! This is my HOT or Hype on the Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipsticks (unofficial name lol).
Let’s get started…
Brand: Too Faced
Amount of Colors: 6
Price: $21.00 USD
Today’s Topic: Melted Violet
***The Packaging***The lipsticks come in a gloss like plastics squeeze tube that mimics the color of the product inside. The tube is topped with almost a Matte Golden Sheen texture and color. The packaging is small in size and very easy to hold and work with. The lettering as you can see is both black and gold and has an the cutest letting IMO. The packaging and design is very well thought out and has great “curbside” appeal for lack of a better term.
The applicator is a white felt material and angled to allow the product to glide on your lips like a lip gloss would. It has about 4 small holes that allows the product to be evenly distributed. While I’m not the biggest fan of the white because I have a little OCD and it will never be white again I do love the way that it feels. The applicator is very different from applicator I have ever encountered before. Good job Too Faced.
The color payoff/pigmentation is AWESOME! I love it. It’s didn’t apply streaky and it didn’t require a lot of product to get the a color pay off. It is light weight, soft, goes on smooth and creamy but dries to an almost Matte finish. Maybe a Satin I can’t really figure out how to describe it. It’s a beautiful color and to be honest my lighting when taking that picture did not do the product justice at all. It’s almost a true purple but it appears pink on my picture. I don’t think that I would wear it without a liner however, that is just me.
To keep it totally real I put this on, on Monday morning to test the longevity of the product and was truly disappointed that it could not stand up against my breakfast. I’m pretty sure it last a lot longer then the 25 minutes I had it on but I put it on, made breakfast, ate my breakfast while drinking water. When done the only thing that was left was my M.A.C. lip liner in Magenta. I went for a liner that would not alter the color of the lipstick to much. So I can safely say that it will not stand up against the eating of a full meal and possible drinking from anything other then a straw but I will have to get back to you on how long it will last without the consumption of food.
This product has way more pros then cons. Actually I love it. I love the texture, the feel, the application, and the color pay off. I’m not the biggest fan of the price tag but that’s the price you pay for “high-end” make up.
