First Impression: NYX Slide on Pencils

NYXGELLINER

Hey y’all,

So recently I have been fully into just simple eyes and colored lower lash line liner. That being said I went on the hunt for the perfect liners. I needed something that was smooth, didn’t tug at my eyes, yet it stayed put all day long. Well I found the new liner lover of my life with the NYX Slide on Pencils. I absolutely love these liners. They don’t budge once they are set in place and they glide on so smooth.

The Claim:

“Don’t let the softness of this pencil fool you. This formula doesn’t smear or smudge and delivers powerful, robust colors. It’s like a liquid eye liner without the mess. Available in 18 sleek shades.”

The Real:

It has the feel and the lasting power of a gel liner with the feel to match. It’s excellent and very well pigmented. I couldn’t ask for a better pencil. Priced at $8.00 which compared to MAC Gel pencils are a steal but honestly compared to the L.A. Girl Glide on Pencils (same concept) these are a bit pricey for a pencil. I won’t complain either way. The quality is excellent for the product.

The Swatch:

NYXGELLINERSWATCHES

Top: Colbalt Blue Bottome: Azure

Both colors have good pigmentation but the Colbalt Blue has the best. Azure was a little patchy when I was swatching and I don’t know if it is because it has glitter in it or if it was because my point had broken. Either way it’s a beautiful color.

The Overall:

I’m very satisfied with these pencils and I will be going to buy more. If not these I’ll try out the L.A. Girl pencils. These can be found at Target, BSS, CVS, and NYX.com.

Have you tried these? What do you think of them?
