Question of the Day

QuestionMarks

As beauty bloggers we are always faced with hype about this item or that item be it new collections at the drugstore or limited edition high end releases. It’s always tough for me to decide when to splurge or when to pass. So I wanted to know what it’s like for all of you and also engage you all in a little bit of banter. Take a minute an answer the questions below!

  • How much is too much to spend on one beauty item?
  • What’s the most you have ever spent or splurged on one beauty product?
  • Was it worth the money?
  • Did you regret it or feel guilty about it?

I was inspired to do this by A Casual Beauty! Thanks for the inspiration girl!! I’ll meet you all in the comments section!

  1. Q:How much is too much to spend on one beauty item?
A:That’s a toughie. I haven’t seen a beauty product worth getting that was over $100. Even that’s pretty steep but I’ve recently fallen in love with a cream foundation palette which actually saves me $ when it comes to filling my kit with foundations and concealers.

Q:What’s the most you have ever spent or splurged on one beauty product?
    A:About $80.00 including shipping.

    Q:Was it worth the money?
A:Most definitely. As I mentioned earlier….palettes are my world. They keep my kit light and manageable, they provide a wide variety of options when it comes to colors, and even though it’s hard to tell when spending a large amount at once it saves me money in the end.

Q:Did you regret it or feel guilty about it?
A: I honestly have a problem lol. Because I do makeup for a living I feel justified in making purchases no matter how frequent or expensive because it feels more like an investment.

      1. Yes. I got the palette from http://www.crcmakeup.com I have a pro discount there. It’s the RCMA Foundation/Concealer palette I got it in the KO #10. I have not had a client yet that can not use a shade from this palette and get a flawless coverage. It has been a lifesaver in my kit. For 18 shades at even $7 or $8 (drug store prices) I would have paid $144 easy. With my pro discount from CRC I saved about $75. I would definitely recommend the buy if you are a MUA or aspiring.
