Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadows

mugeyeshadows

Hey beauties,

I’ve notices that foiled eyeshadows are trending in make up both last year and this year. Some may be a bit disappointing and some are winners. Makeup Geek as usual, did not disappoint. I decided I wanted to try these shadows because they are both affordable and the brand while affordable, is very reputable. They are known in the beauty community to have great quality for low prices. That being said I jumped up and placed an order for 2 colors. I was torn on which 2 I should pick so I chose Flame Thrower and Mesmerized.

I did a little research to find some swatches and I actually saw a couple eye looks done with these and I was sold. I love the packaging and shipping took about a week. Priced at $9.99 whose wouldn’t want to jump on these! So let’s get into the deets.

With these rich and intensely-hued shades, the new Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadows go beyond your standard line of cosmetics, introducing you to a new and powerful cosmetic experience.

This cutting-edge formula offers a creamy texture that is a hybrid between a powder shadow and a cream shadow that is on a level of its own.

The intense pigmentation combined with an opaque, metallic finish make these shadows a dream to work with. These can be applied effortlessly in just one swipe with no primer required! Our lineup includes a diverse array of rich colors and a smooth silky formula that we believe help elevate pressed eye shadows to the next level of exceptional quality.

I love how the packaging has a small window both in front and in back to show the shadow and the name of the product. I find it to be a bit similar to MAC’s refill pan packaging but the color scheme is way better IMO. Best part about it is, it’s cruelty free!

Even in the pan they are simply gorgeous! They are super soft to the touch which can be both a good and bad thing. Good beings this could mean they are easy to blend. Bad because they could arrive broken or cracked because the texture is so soft. Thankfully mine arrived in tact.

Mesmerized|”Deep medium taupe with strong purple undertones and a foiled finish.”

Flame Thrower|”True brightened warm copper with a foiled finish.”

They swatch so beautifully. My camera honestly did them no justice. The mere fact that I didn’t layer or anything, I just ran my fingers across the top of my hand just once. The pigmentation is amazing. From what I have seen, like many other foiled shadows the these are best applied with your fingers but also work well with a brush. I think I’ll try them both ways to see which method I like more.

You would think that after swatching most of the product would be gone off my fingers right? WRONG!mugafterswatching

Look how much was left on my (ashy lol djm) finger tips after being swatched. It’s clearly more Flame Thrower left but still a good amount of product still remained. Enough for me to swatch a second time. No, I didn’t do that lol.

These colors are sooooo beautiful. The pigmentation is everything. She honestly did an amazing job with this formula. I’m very much impressed. The price point is amazing as well. I’m happy I made this purchase. Get yours here!
