I’m back to start the year off with a treat I picked up to try out the Stila Liquid Lipsticks. When I came across this holiday kit I felt like this would be the best way to try these without having to spend 20+ on one full size. We all know that liquid lipsticks were one of the biggest trends in 2015 and I for one was right in the ring buying and trying. I will admit, I aimed more for lower end but whateves most of them perform almost the same. If you wanna know my thoughts on these Stila lippies then keep on reading.
The Eternal Love Set was a holiday collection that I want to say was $24 or so. I honestly can’t remember and it’s sold out now :(. This was one of 2 sets, the other had 5 deluxe sample size lippes. The set I purchased included Baci, Ricco, and Beso. This was the perfect collection it offered a Neutral, Classic and Vampy color.
Let’s talk about these colors.
Baci|Neutral Shade-it’s that popular cool toned “greige” color with a purplish undertone. This isn’t a color that I would reach for, for my skin tone however it’s a beautiful color never the less.
Ricco|Vampy Shade-Deep wine burgandy with a reddish brown under tone. This color was perfect for me and would compliment many, many, many skin tones.
Beso|Classic Shade-Classic Warm Red with an orange undertone. This isn’t typically the shade of red that I reach for but it’s beautiful regardless. I’m more of a blue toned red kinda girl.
These are 2 swipe applications. The formula is pretty opaque, dry to a matte finish and have a very smooth texture. Baci I had to work with because of it’s light shade. Ricco applied a little patchy and I had to layer it a bit to get full intensity. Beso also had to be layered but it wasn’t hard get the perfect opacity. Now, the drying time was about 2-3 minutes but like the Kat Von D liquid lippes it never seems to dry all the way down. These are sticky on my lips. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or not. They are light weight and transfer proof. I was able to eat and drink and they held up. These aren’t my favs and I’m certainly not about to spend 20+ on a full size but I’m satisfied with my minis.
Do you have any of these liquid lipsticks? If so, what are your thoughts?
Until next time…Be Fabulous!
